Send trails from Wikiloc to your GPS (via App)

Follow a Wikiloc trail from your GPS

If your device is Garmin, Apple Watch, Suunto, Wear OS, Amazfit, Wahoo ELEMNT, Polar or TwoNav, click this link to access specific instructions for these devices. For other devices, you can follow the instructions in this article.

Requirements

  • Have the Wikiloc app downloaded on your smartphone.
  • Have a Wikiloc Premium subscription. How to get it here.
  • Have the latest version of your GPS brand app downloaded on your smartphone.
  • Have your GPS paired with your smartphone.

iPhone

  1. Find the trail you like in the Wikiloc app.
  2. Tap on the "Send to your GPS" button and then "Send Trail as File".

  3. The app will automatically convert the trail to a common format readable by most apps. 

    Just choose your GPS brand app. If you don't find it, check on the "More" list. 

    If you still can't find your GPS brand app, check the device documentation to see how to do it.

  4. A new track screen will open on your GPS brand app.

    Save it, follow the usual steps to follow this trail from your GPS, and you're set!

Android

For this option, you will need a file manager. For example, we like Total Commander (an app you can download from Google Play).

  1. Find the trail you like in the Wikiloc app.
  2. Tap on the "Send to your GPS" button and then "Send Trail as File".

  3. Choose the "Total Commander" app


  4. Save the file to the folder of your choice on your mobile.
  5. Go to this folder and send the trail to your GPS brand app.

    If you can't find it, check the device documentation to see how to do it.

  6. A new track screen will open on your GPS brand app. Save it, follow the usual steps to follow this trail from your GPS, and you're set.
