Download offline maps

Wikiloc offers its Offline Maps for free!
When there is no mobile coverage and/or internet data available:
- The GPS on your device continues to work, as it can obtain the planet's position from orbiting satellites.
- The Map of your GPS Navigator may experience some difficulty, as it can't be loaded if it hasn't been previously stored on your mobile.
To overcome the above-mentioned difficulty, Wikiloc offers the convenience of offline maps, which can be downloaded to your mobile device. These maps can be used when you don't have an Internet connection.
On all Wikiloc app maps (map search engine, map on a trail preview, map displayed while recording a trail), you can change between different maps.
To do this, click on the
Map layers icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
Two options will appear:
- Offline maps (No Internet connection is needed to use them): You see your previously downloaded maps and a selection of the available ones in your area. You can see more maps by clicking the View more button.
- Online maps (Internet connection required): Satellite, Terrain, Topographic ICC, Raster Map IGN, Ortofoto PNOA IGN, etc.
You can see the details of Offline Maps clicking on them.
To download, click on the button
Download.
We recommend you download these files using a Wi-Fi connection, as the use of mobile data can be very intense due to its large size.
You can also find Offline Maps in your Profile Settings. On this page, you will be able to search for and download the map you need!
