Send trails from Wikiloc to your GPS (via USB cable)
Follow a Wikiloc trail from your GPS (Garmin, Suunto, Wahoo, etc.)
Requirements :
The trail needs to be saved on your computer in a valid format for your device (usually .gpx).
If you don't have the trail file, download it for free from Wikiloc's website. Here we show you how.
How to send it:
In most GPS devices, you will need to follow these steps:
- Connect the GPS device through a USB cable to your computer.
- The internal memory and/or the micro SD card will be detected as disk units.
- Access internal memory
- Copy the trail file to the trails/tracks/trips folder from your internal memory.
Some GPS manufacturers hide this folder. Click on the "Show hidden files" on your computer settings to see them. - On your GPS, go to your trails/tracks/trips section, and you are set to go!
This method is for legacy/old GPS devices but the process can vary between models and brands. Please check your GPS' manufacturer documentation for specific instructions on how to send GPX/KML files to your GPS device.
